I have started a blog. WHY??? "Everyone else is doing it...!"
I will start by letting you all know that I give no promises on whether this will be good, interesting, educational, or helpful to anyone. :) I've had other blogs before and they all have gone by the wayside. I don't post everyday or even every other day. I figure unless I have something really interesting, it's not worth boring anyone, right?
Anyway, here it goes. You can let me know how I did afterwards if you wish.
Since I teach computer applications to grades K-8, as well as one class of Adobe Photoshop as a high school elective, I suppose that is what most of this will be about. On that note, here are a few pictures of my bulletin boards/classroom.
This is my word wall...and it's not finished! I still have 50+ words to put there. Those will not make it up there this year, though.
This one was outside of my room...I gave each computer part a first name (Casey the Computer Case, Kelly the Keyboard, etc.); the little kids loved it!
This goes along with my junior high curriculum, Computer Concepts in Action (Glencoe). Of course I added the W.W.J.D. :)
This
was outside my room at the beginning of the year last year. The kids
liked seeing the actual parts of the computer (CPU, memory chip,
internal modem, etc.). I think I just may do this again for next year!
And lastly, for now, this is my keyboarding board. I actually did this on one of those tri-fold foam-core boards, only it is hanging on its side. I can take it down, fold it up and store it with out having to dismantle the whole thing!
OK, I have rambled on long enough now. Go a head and judge me now. Just be gentle! :D
